Pals Paper Arts Challenge #221

Good Afternoon everyone!  Here is my entry for the new Paper PALS Challenge #221.  We were to follow the sketch and I tried to follow it to the best of my ability.  What do you think?  I always do 2 of them, but here is the one I’m entering for the challenge.

One other thing that I thought I’d add to each post where I have a card is a Card Recipe!

Card Recipe:
Paper: Chocolate Chip {102128}, Whisper White {100730}, Tangelo Twist {133677} & Pear Pizzazz.{131180}

Stamp Set:  For All Things {135155}

Ribbon:  Chocolate Chip Chevron {130014} & Chocolate Chip Ribbon
Embellishments:  Candy Dots {130934} Pearls { 119247}

Measurements:  Card Base: 5 ½ x 4 ¼ and then the layer is 5 ¼ x 4.  The other panel is 3 ½ x3 ½ .
Love this card! I hope you do too!

Oh, I can't forget card #2. It always has something that is just slightly different.  Which one do you like? Any favorites? I like them both! LOL!

Thanks for visiting me!  Happy Stamping!

Eating Chocolate Responsibly

Enjoy Your Chocolate!  I found this online and thought I'd share it with you!

1.      If you’ve got melted chocolate all over your hand, you’re eating it too slow.

2.     Chocolate covered raisins, cherries, orange slices & strawberries all count as fruit so eat as many as you want.

3.     Why is there no such organization as chocoholics?  Because no one wants to quit.

4.     The problem: How to get two pounds of chocolate home from the store in a hot car? The solution: Eat it all in the parking lot.

5.     Diet tip: Eat a chocolate bar before each meal.  It’ll take the edge off your appetite and you’ll eat less.

6.     A nice box of chocolate can provide your total daily intake of calories in one place.  Isn’t that handy?

7.     If you can’t eat all your chocolate, it will keep in the freezer.  But if you can’t eat all your chocolate, what’s wrong with you?

8.     If I eat an equal amount of dark chocolate and white chocolate, isn’t that a balanced diet?  Don’t they actually counteract each other?

9.     Money talks.  Chocolate sings.

10.  Chocolate has many preservatives. Preservatives make you look younger.

11.   If not for chocolate there would be no need for control top pantyhose.  An entire garment industry would be devastated.

12.  Put “eat chocolate” at the top of your list of things to do today.  That way you’ll get at least one thing done.

We aren’t meant to deal with life alone… Where’s the chocolate

Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge #194

Hello Stampers!

I've decided today that I was going to enter into another Challenge.  Oh the fun!  Here is the website:  Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I think that if I get into some challenges, it will help strengthen my skills! Well, that's what I think at least!

Here are some details of the challenge:

Hello Honey {133643}, our new in-color, Night of Navy {126970} and Marina Mist! {126962}  The Hello Honey goes so well with these colors.  Prove it right?  Oh, Hee Hee!  I will!  I'm on my way.

Here's my project below:

This first Card is made with the colors above. The stamp set is Kind Koala {134360 }.  How stinkin’ cute is he? Oh, now that I think of it, I could have put a little bow in his hair to make that koala a cutie pie “she”!!  I love how the colors came out together.  The Hello Honey is really adorable as the background.  The background sheet is from the paper pack called moonlight Designer Series Paper {133701} in the new Idea Book and Catalog (IBC).  This is the small pack of paper that comes in the 4x6 or 4x8 size.  Loooove it!!   They are perfect for making Cards and maybe the extra for some little embellishments! What a way to save on scraps! Am I Riiiiiight?

I’m entering just the first one into the contest, but because I made more than one, I’m posting them both here.

The second card is just the second one that I do.  Remember?  I usually make 2 cards at a time.  I thought it was just as cute. -The three little flowers….and the pearls….just darling!

Here's that really pretty paper pack.

Well, thanks for reading along and visiting my blog!  Hope you come back and become a follower! If you follow my blog I'll be sure to follow yours too!

Welcome to my little slice of Heaven

Hello and welcome! This is my blog/website where I'll be chronicling my journey being a Stampin' Up demonstrator! I wanted to have a place where I kept all my hopes and dreams, all my cards and scrapbook pages ...well, basically everything that I love all in one place.

Let me start by introducing myself, my name is Raquelle and I was a Stampin Up demonstrator a long time ago. But this time I'm in it for the long haul. I know things won't happen overnight, but then again maybe they will? I'm putting my faith and trust in the Lord and maybe this time it will really happen for me. I mean not just for me but for my family.

I came to love Stampin' Up! way back in 2009 or 2010. I love the colors, I love how they coordinate so well. I think that has a lot to do with my OCD.  Or vice-versa! LOL!  The colors of coordination, the straight lines. I really do like it. I am a mama of 3 and a grandmamma to 1 little boy and a little girl on the way!  I also just recently married the man of my dreams. As my girlfriend calls her first husband, he was her practice husband. But for me, this time I know....he is the one. He loves the Lord and most of all he loves me as Christ loved the church. He prays with me and for me! Amen!

I don't want you to think that I started out knowing all there is to know about stamping or scrapbooking for that matter. I was unaware of how big my love for papercrafting would be. At first it was just scrapbooking and I love, but I didn't really know how much I enjoyed myself and thought that it was therapy, until I started making cards. There's something about making cards and giving them to people and seeing the reaction on their face that really just ad I love stamping and scrapbooking. Making cards and scrapbooking with other ladies who have kids or they travel is another way for me have blessed friendships and great fellowships!  I love to travel, and one day im going to make it to Paris, France!!

Well that's a small introduction to me! Along this journey you will meet and that's my husband, my kids and hopefully here soon a little puppy. I love to have a big eared-170 pound-English Mastiff one day. To sit alongside me as I make cards! oh how cute that will be!

OK to wrap this up, I'll share this one last thing. I love teaching others everything I know and helping them unlock their creative juices.  Pretty soon they too, will see that this is such good therapy for the soul. Helping others, being creative, friendships and blessed fellowship with other people is always special.  Thanks for joining me and visiting my blog.

Come back often where you'll always see something fun, exciting & new! Happy Stamping!

P.S. Here is a little preview of my work!

The PALS Challenge PPA-218

Today I've entered a challange to try and test my skills.the power of paper challenge is one that I looked at before, but never entered. Below you will see my entry for this challenge and I hope many more! I think I might be the last one to enter, ha ha!!

Ok, first things first. Here are the colors that I will be using.  The two newest In-Colors:  Hello Honey {133643}, Blackberry Bliss {133642} and my all-time favorite ~ crumb cake. {126975}

Aren't they a pretty combination? I loved trying to come up with something for fall and use this stinkin' cute stamp set called For All Things {135155}.  Ok so here is my entry! Hope you like it, tell me what you think!!
